Flow rate monitoring
Message: “Flow rate?”
If no flow rate (dV = 0 l/min) is measured for 10 conse-
cutive seconds while the system is active, the controller
runs a reset of the digital sensors. If, after that, there still
is no flow rate, the error message appears and the system
is shut down.
Possible causes are:
• A pump defect
• A hydraulic blockage in the system
• Air or gas bubbles in the system
Activating the pump after a period of standstill may cause
system damage through pressure surges. Therefore, the
error message “Flow rate?” will only disappear during the
night or if it is acknowledged manually (see pg. 24).
16.2 Optional monitoring functions
The optional monitoring functions can be activated and
deactivated in the submenu “Function control” (see pg. 30)
in the expert area of the adjustment values menu. For some
of the optional monitoring functions, the switch-on and
switch-off thresholds can be adjusted as well.
D
T monitoring
Message: “
D
T too high”
The
D
T monitoring function is deactivated by default, but
can be activated by the user. The switch-on / switch-off
threshold cannot be altered.
If the
D
T monitoring function is activated, the warning mes-
sage appears if solar loading has taken place at a
D
T > 50 K
for more than 20 consecutive minutes.
Normal operation is not aborted or inhibited, but the sy-
stem should be checked for the cause of the warning.
Possible causes are:
• Insufficient pump performance
• Hydraulic blockage of a system component
• Circulation problems in the collector
The warning message disappears automatically as soon as
the
D
T falls below 50 K again.
The message should only be acknowledged if the system
has been checked for the abovementioned error causes,
and if the cause has been eliminated. To acknowledge the
message proceed as follows:
Î
Press button 3 for approx. two seconds
Î
Select “Status” by pressing button 3 again
Î
Scroll down to the menu line “
Flow rate?”
Î
Press button 3 again to acknowledge the message
The message disappears and normal operation recom-
mences with a pause.
