13. IR remote control
Instead of operating the device via the display and the buttons at the rear of the device, it can also be
controlled via the enclosed IR remote control.
For this, the IR receiver must be activated via the menu operation at the device (see “IR re-
ceiver”) and no DMX signal must be pending at the DMX IN connection.
The effect light must also be encoded for the IR remote control. This is done in the factory.
a) Encoding the IR remote control
• If the IR remote control encoding has been lost, the display shows - - - -.
• To re-encode the IR remote control, point the IR remote control at the front of the effect light and push
any key on the remote control while - - - - is displayed.
• The display shows I I I I. This means that the first remote control has been encoded for the device.
• To connect another remote control to the effect light, push the key of another remote control within 20
seconds. Up to five remote controls at a time can be connected to the effect light.
The display shows the number of the respective remote control (e.g. 2222, 3333, etc.).
After approx. 20 seconds, the effect light leaves programming mode and takes up operation.
• To delete the connection with a remote control, switch off IR remote control mode in the menu (Iron-IroF
>> IroF) and disconnect the effect light from the power supply.
• After you have switched on the power again, the display shows - - - - and you can register new remote
controls.
b) IR remote control functions
• To control the effect spotlight with the IR remote control, point the IR remote control at the front of the
effect spotlight and push the desired button.
• The range of the IR remote control is approx. 8 m.
