8. Operation with mains unit or batteries/rechargeable batteries
The drum kit can be operated either with the enclosed mains unit or 6 batteries of type Baby/C (not enclosed, can be
ordered separately).
a) Connection of an external mains unit
Connect the round plug of the enclosed mains unit to the socket (28) on the rear of the drum kit. Then connect the mains unit to a
mains socket.
If you use a mains unit to operate the drum kit, you can leave the batteries in the battery compartment, since the power
supply will automatically switch to the external mains unit.
However, do not forget to remove the batteries if you will operate the product only with the mains unit for an extended
period. Too-old batteries may leak and damage the battery compartment or the drum kit!
b) Inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries
If you want to use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) (each not included, can be ordered separately), open the battery com-
partment lid on the bottom of the drum kit, and insert 6 batteries (or rechargeable batteries) of type Baby/C in the correct polarity
(observe plus/+ and minus/-). Then reinsert the battery compartment lid and let it latch.
If batteries are used to operate the drum kit, we recommend using high-quality alkaline batteries.
A battery change is required if the battery display has become very weak, the sound distorted, the drum kit switches off on its own
when playing back sounds and the display goes out, or if the drum kit can no longer be switched on.
