Assembly
• First, screw the antenna tightly into the corresponding socket on the rear of the
camera. The antenna can be adjusted to various angles to improve connectivity.
• The holding bracket provided can be screwed to the top and bottom of the camera,
depending on where the wireless camera is to be installed.
If the holding bracket is to be screwed to the top of the camera, remove the
single, large screw on the sun screen. This will expose the tripod thread
suitable for the holding bracket.
Depending on the installation location (e.g., under a room ceiling) the sun
screen can be removed by unscrewing the two small screws on the top of
the sun screen first.
Fasten the holding bracket with suitable screws and, if necessary, wall plugs, de-
pending on the installation location. Pay attention when drilling and tightening the
screws that no cable or pipes are damaged.
Before fixing the installation, you should first check that the wireless trans-
mission between the wireless camera and the monitor/DVR is faultless.
Various environmental factors can impact the achievable range and quality
of the transmitted signal.
Select the installation location so it is protected against attempts to tamper
with the camera. For this reason, the camera should be mounted at a mini-
mum height of 2.5 m.
For outdoor use, we recommend that you choose a location that is protected
from rain/sprayed water (e.g., under the eaves) to prevent the formation of
droplets or accumulation of sprayed water on the camera’s front panel that
will cause a distorted and unusable image.
• Adjust the objective lens of the wireless camera (and therefore also the PIR sensor)
so that it points to the desired surveillance area. Accurate adjustment can be done
later when the image of the wireless camera can be seen on the monitor/DVR.
• The PIR sensor integrated in the wireless camera responds to temperature changes
within the detection range, e.g., if a person or an animal with a temperature differ-
ence from the background enters the detection area.
This can start recording automatically (if activated in the menu of the moni-
tor/DVR).
Observe that the PIR sensor does not react to movements as such, but only
to temperature changes.
The range of detecting motion is determined by several factors:
- Installation height of the wireless camera
- Temperature difference between the moving object and the background (ambience)
- Size of the object
- Distance of the object to the PIR sensor in the wireless camera
- Direction and speed of the movement
- Ambient temperature (e.g., summer/winter)
Therefore, depending on the installation location and the ambient conditions
there, the PIR sensor may not function correctly due to its function principle.
• Place the cable e.g., in a suitable cable channel or similar. The connection socket
for power supply is not watertight and must therefore be placed in a dry indoor loca-
tion.
If you want to pass the connection cable through a wall, protect the plug from dust
and dirt e.g., using a small plastic bag.
• Connect the round low-voltage plug of the power adapter (output voltage 5 V/DC,
output current 1 A) to the corresponding round socket on the wireless camera.
The power adapter is only intended for use in dry indoor locations. It must
never get damp or wet; danger of a fatal electric shock!
• The camera is now ready for use.
Connecting the wireless camera
Before the camera image can appear on the corresponding monitor/DVR,
the wireless camera must be connected to it (pairing).
Furthermore, the respective channel of the wireless camera system must be
switched on/activated (“Activation”).
Observe the operating instructions of the corresponding wireless camera
system for the pairing procedure.
Maintenance and cleaning
The product is maintenance-free. Maintenance or repair work may be performed only
by qualified personnel or a specialised repair shop. The product contains no parts that
require servicing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it.
To clean the outside of the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient.
Do not press too hard on the objective lens of the camera or the PIR sensor, this may
cause scratch marks or lead to failure.
To remove stronger soiling on the wireless camera, use a soft cloth that is slightly
moistened with lukewarm water. Never direct a stream of water from a garden hose
or a high-pressure cleaner onto the wireless camera.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical
solutions, since these could damage the casing or even impair operation.
