sliding it downwards.
• Insert 2 x AAA batteries ensuring the polarity is correct as shown in the battery
compartment.
• Slide the cover back on.
Replace the batteries if the low battery icon “ ” appears.
Replace depleted batteries immediately to avoid product damage. Leaking
batteries damage the product.
Make sure to replace the batteries at least once a year.
Operation
• Place the product on a horizontal and stable surface that gives you the best viewing angle
of the LC-Display. If you are unable to see the display information clearly, re-position the
product.
a) DCF Signal
The DCF radio signal is automatically received by your clock when you are within
approximately 1,500 km of the DCF transmitter in Mainflingen (near Frankfurt, Germany). It
ensures that your clock keeps the exact time.
• After installing the batteries, the LC-Display (1) will turn on and the clock will automatically
search for the DCF radio signal. The radio signal icon “
” will flash in the LC-Display
while searching and will stop when the signal has been received and the clock has been
set. It takes about 3-5 minutes to complete after which the correct date and time are
displayed.
• The clock automatically attempts to synchronise with the DCF time several times a day.
• If the clock does not set itself, reposition the product. Bad reception can be caused by
e.g. metal coated insulated glass, reinforced concrete constructions, coated special
wallpaper or use in basement rooms.
• If the clock is unable to receive the radio signal, the radio signal icon “ ” will not display
and you will need to set it manually.
• If the radio signal is weak the icon “ ” is displayed.
