DIESEL FILTER
Repriming the fuel circuit
After filling when the fuel has
completely run out, it is necessary
to bleed the air or drain the circuit
before starting your vehicle.
The
peripheral
components
(alternator,
starter,
engine
mountings,
etc.)
should
be
protected against splashes of
fuel.
Take care when working in
the engine compartment as
the engine cooling fan may
cut in at any moment
without warning.
Vehicles with manual priming
pump
- Turn bleed screw 1 one turn,
- operate priming bulb 2 until there
are no more air bubbles in the fuel
flow,
- retighten bleed screw 1.
- operate priming bulb 2 again.
Vehicles
with electric
priming
pump
- Turn bleed screw 3 one turn,
- turn the key to the
“On”
position
for approximately 10 seconds then
back to the
“Stop”
position.
Repeat the operation at 15 second
intervals until the fuel has no air
bubbles in it,
- retighten bleed screw 3.
