regularly. Failure to observe this regulation of the cell manufacturer can lead to damage to the Li-Ion battery
by total discharging.
Total discharging due to storage
If a relatively low charged Li-Ion battery is stored, self discharging can lead to total discharge damage of the
battery after longer storage. Li-Ion batteries must therefore be charged before storing and recharged every
six months at the latest and charged again before use.
NOTICE
NOTICE
Charge the battery before use. Recharge Li-Ion batteries regularly to avoid their total discharge. The
rechargeable battery will be damaged by total discharge.
Only use a REMS rapid charger for charging. New Li-Ion batteries and Li-Ion batteries which have not been
used for a long time only reach full capacity after several charges.
Graduated charging state display of the Li-Ion 21.6 V battery
The graduated charging state display (2) shows the charging state of the battery (1) with 4 LEDs. At least one
LED lights for a few seconds after pressing the key with the battery symbol. The more LEDs that light green,
the higher the charging state of the battery. If a LED fl ashes red, the battery must be charged.
Rapid charger Li-ion
The left control lamp lights up and remains green when the mains plug is plugged in. If a battery is inserted
in the REMS rapid charger, the green control lamp fl ashes to indicate that the battery is charging. The green
light stops fl ashing and remains on to signal that the battery is fully charged. If the red control lamp fl ashes,
the battery is defective. If the red control lamp comes on and remains on, this indicates that the temperature
of the rapid charger and / or the battery is outside the permissible range of 0°C to +40°C.
NOTICE
NOTICE
The rapid charger is not suitable for using outdoors.
2.2. Preparing the electric LED fl ood lamp
Mounting the stand (Fig. 2), REMS Lumen 5000/7000/10000
Fasten the tubular steel frame (3) with spring ring (4), washer (5) and star screw (6).
3. Operation
NOTICE
NOTICE
Keep the LED fl ood lamp the permissible minimum distance of ≥ 1 m away from all illuminated surfaces
and objects.
The illuminated objects can overheat below this distance.
Installation
Place the LED fl ood lamp on fi rm, level ground. Loosen the wing screws/star screws (8) slightly if necessary
and swing the fl ood lamp housing (7). Re-tighten the wing screws/star screws (8).
Fastening to the REMS telescopic stand 3B (Fig. 4)
Adjust the REMS telescopic stand 3B as shown in Fig. 4 and place it on fi rm, level ground. For REMS Lumen
5000/7000/10000, remove the tubular steel frame (3) and fasten the LED fl ood lamp to the REMS telescopic
stand 3B with the stand screw (13). Loosen the wing screws/star screws (8) slightly if necessary and swing
the fl ood lamp housing (7). Re-tighten the wing screws/star screws (8).
NOTICE
NOTICE
Observe the load carrying capacity of the REMS telescopic stand 3B of ≤ 10 kg.
Hanging up, REMS Lumen 2800 22 V
Unfold the hook (10) and hang up the LED fl ood lamp on a suitable object. Loosen the wing screws (8) slightly
if necessary and swing the fl ood lamp housing (7). Re-tighten the wing screws (8).
Operation
Switch the REMS Lumen 5000/7000 on or off by pressing the on/off switch (11).
REMS Lumen 10000 can be set for 2 selectable brightness stages with the on/off switch (11).
Switch the REMS Lumen 2800 22 V on or off with the button (11) and set one of the 3 selectable brightness
stages with the button (12).
