e) Turning the Transmitter On
Always turn the transmitter on first before connecting the rechargeable battery pack to the drive control unit.
Check the Power LED to see whether the inserted rechargeable batteries/batteries are still sufficiently charged. If the
red LED flashes indicating a low battery, end operation of the vehicle and switch the vehicle off. Only then should you
exchange the batteries or rechargeable batteries for new ones.
f) Connecting the Rechargeable Battery Pack to the Drive Control Unit
Prior to connecting the rechargeable battery pack to the drive control unit, activate the remote control transmitter (see
chapter 9. d) and 9. e).
To prevent any sudden start of the drive and therefore uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the
trimming for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable cardboard box or similar, so
that the wheels can turn freely in case there is a fault.
Switch off the control unit. Position the slide switch in the right-side setting (move
the switch in the direction of the arrow).
Now connect the rechargeable battery pack to the drive control unit.
If you wish to use self-configured/constructed rechargeable battery packs you
must pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ = red cable, minus/- = black
cable).
g) Activating the Drive Control Unit
Put the remote control into operation, see chapter 9. d) and 9.e), if you haven't
done so already!
Then switch on the drive control unit. Position the slide switch in the right-side
setting (move the switch in the direction of the arrow).
The programming of the drive control unit is described in chapter 10. Standard setting values have
been pre-installed by the manufacturer. Once you have become accustomed to the vehicle controls,
you can adjust the programming to your personal preferences.
