f) Charging the boat battery
Before using the boat for the first time, charge the battery using the USB charger provided. Use a USB power adapter
or USB cigarette lighter (not included) to power the USB charger. This must be able to deliver an output current of at
least 1000 mA.
Alternatively, you can also use a USB port on a computer or USB hub that can deliver a current of 1000 mA.
Insert the USB plug on the USB charger into the USB power supply (e.g. a USB power adapter). Insert the small
connector on the USB charger into the corresponding socket on the rechargeable battery. Ensure that you insert the
connector in the correct orientation (align the connector with the socket on the battery).
Charging will begin provided that the battery is not defective (high impedance/disconnected) and the charger is con-
nected to a power supply. The red LED indicator on the charger will turn on to indicate that the battery is charging.
LED indicator status:
LED constant:
Battery is charging
LED off:
The battery is full/fully charged
Warning!
The battery must be charged using the USB charger provided due to the nature of the wiring in the battery
cells. Connecting the battery to another type of charger may cause a fire, explosion or short circuit. This will
void the warranty.
