14. Return Function
The quadrocopter has a return function that will make it fly backwards on its own, i.e. in the opposite direction of the
one in which it was aligned at activation (see figure 18, ill. A). As in headless mode, it is not relevant in which direction
the front of the quadrocopter is currently pointing (see figure 18, ill. B).
Important!
The return function should only be activated when the quadrocopter has moved too far away from the
pilot in the previously specified forward direction and the pilot forms one line with the quadrocopter in the
forward direction. If the quadrocopter is offset to the side, it may fly past the pilot to the side when the return
function is activated, and thus fly away again (see figure 18, ill. C).

Return Function
Return Function
To activate the return function, briefly push the button for
the return function (also see figure 1, item 8). To show that
the return function is activated, the blue and red LEDs on
the quadrocopter flash quickly.
The quadrocopter will now independently fly contrary to
the previously specified forward direction. The flight height
is not controlled automatically but must be manually ad-
justed at the transmitter.
When the quadrocopter has flown backwards far enough,
push the control lever for the nod and roll functions (also
see figure 1, item 4) forward or backward to terminate the
return function automatically.
The quadrocopter stops its reverse flight and the LEDs on
the quadrocopter will remain lit.
