12. Adjustment of the Swash Plate Position
The swash plate (see figure 19, item 1) has three arms and
is controlled via two micro servos.
The front servo at the left side of the model in flight direction
(see figure 19, item 2) controls the rolling function and the
rear one on the right model side (see figure 19, item 3)
controls the nod function.
If the trim slider for rolling or nodding must be adjusted to
the stop at the transmitter to achieve straight hover flight, or
if the available trimming path is not sufficient in extremes,
the linkage can be mechanically adjusted.
Adjusting the roll function:
For rough changes, remove the attachment screw of the
swash plate lever (4) and attach the lever in another bore of
the control disc (5).
For fine changes, remove the attachment screw of the control
disc (6), slightly lift the control disc and screw it in again
offset by one “tooth”.
For this, however, it is sensible to loosen the screw at the
swash plate guide (7) a little and screw it on again after
setting. The swash plate lever must slide easily between
the two metal discs without having lots of play.
Adjusting the nod function:
The mechanical setting of the nod control at the control disc
of the rear servo (8) is performed according to the same
principle as for rolling.
