1. Important safety remarks
1.1 Introduction
Read this instruction manual thoroughly. Be sure to follow all the guidelines included here.
Keep the manual in a place easily accessible for the user.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any body injuries caused by not following the guidelines included here.
1.2 Application
Single-post lift L-121F is a movable lift. It was designed for use indoors. It should be used for lifting passenger cars in
order to maintain service works on them. It is forbidden to use the lift for moving cars.
1.3 Safety remarks regarding the use of the lift
•
The lift may only be installed by authorized service personnel.
•
The standard version of the lift must not be installed for use near explosives, flammable materials, in rooms with
high humidity (car washes) and in the open air.
•
Do not use the jack on surfaces with insufficient stability (hardness).
•
Read and understand all the warning procedures before operating the lift.
•
The lift is intended for indoor use.
•
Keep hands and feet away from moving parts. Keep your feet away from the jack while lowering
•
The lift may only be installed and operated by qualified and properly trained personnel.
•
Do not wear unsuitable clothes, such as large clothes with frills, strings, etc., that could get caught in moving parts
of the machine.
•
The area around the jack must be kept clear of bystanders or objects that could endanger the lifting operation
•
The jack is intended only for lifting the whole vehicle with a maximum weight not exceeding the maximum capacity
of the jack. The maximum capacity is shown on the plate on the jack.
•
Always make sure that the safety devices are engaged before any attempt to work on or near the vehicle
.
•
To raise the car, use only the lifting points recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
•
Always lift vehicles using all four lift arms.
•
Make sure that the vehicle doors are closed when lifting and lowering.
•
Comply with health and safety ordinances and regulations.
•
Press the safety switch if necessary.
•
Protect all electrical parts from moisture and contact with water.
•
Make sure that the lift and components are working properly.
•
Observe the height while lifting to prevent the vehicle from colliding with the building. The maximum height may
be limited by the height of the building. (ceiling, lightning protection devices, pipes, air conditioning ducts, etc.).
•
Do not ride with the vehicle on the jack to put it in place. The only way to position the lifting device is to move it
under an already standing vehicle.
•
After completing the repair, lower the lift to the lowest position. It is unacceptable to keep the car in a raised
position during a longer break at work.
•
Do not raise the car when the base plate don’t touch the ground.
•
Do not modify the jack.
•
When the machine is no longer in use, it is recommended disconnecting the power supply, draining the oil reservoir
and disposing of the fluids according to local regulations.
•
If the lift will not be used for an extended period of time, do the following:
o
Disconnect the energy source;
o
Empty the control unit tank;
o
Lubricate moving parts that may be damaged by dust or drying out.
