INSTALLING CAMERA
CAUTION!
Before using, please be sure the test the housing (without camera) in bucket or
aquarium if available. After use in salt water, rinse thoroughly in a bucket of fresh water
without fail, pressing all buttons several times to flush out salt deposits and other
contaminants. Allowing saltwater and contaminants to dry on housing can damage functions
and O-Ring. Clean with fresh water only, using a soft, dry cloth to wipe away water.
※
Always perform proper O-ring maintenance.
※
Conduct the following operations in a clean area with low humidity and dust.
1. Make sure the housing Mode Dial is pulled up and outward away from housing, and
camera strobe (flash) is closed. If these steps are not taken, the camera may not seat
properly into housing and may cause dials, levers and buttons not to function as intended.
NOTE:
Strobe Up Switch Dial preset as describe above is also recommended.
2. Check camera settings, battery is charged and media storage capacity is sufficient.
Slowly and carefully install camera making sure camera does not to hit housing's internal
controls. If the camera is not installed correctly, buttons, dials, and levers may not work
properly.
3. After performing O-Ring Maintenance, carefully close back cover making sure nothing is
caught between the Secure-Latch and housing. Push Secure-Latch into the locked
position making sure the Lock Lever is also in the locked position. Double check to make
sure the Secure-Latch is securely locked into place.
IMPORTANT!
Perform pre-dive check by immersing housing several times, starting with short
intervals, gradually lengthening time, checking for water leakage after each interval. When
entering water use a method of water entry that protects the housing from shock, which can
cause water leakage. If at all possible have housing handed to you after entering the water.
REMOVING CAMERA
CAUTION!
After use in water, water will remain along the seams between housing, back
cover and Secure-Latch. Wipe any water off housing with a soft dry towel to prevent water
from falling into housing and onto camera.
1. Pull Mode Dial upward away from housing.
2. Press Lock Lever while pulling Secure-Latch away from housing main body and open
back cover.
