Never allow the mixer to become wet.
Never connect the mixer to an electrical ground.
After finishing the job always remove the plug from the power supply socket.
When not in use, the mixer should be stored in a locked place out of reach of children.
Wear ear protectors with impact. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
Use auxiliary handles supplled with the tool. Loss of control can cause personal injury.
For further safety information please refer to the additional «Safety
Instructions» enclosed.
BEFORE OPERATION
Always use the correct supply voltage. The voltage specifications as shown on
label must correspond to the supply voltage. (±10% deviation is allowed).
INITIAL OPERATION
Switching on for a short time.
Switching on:
press the power switch
6
(Fig.1).
Switching off:
release the power switch
6
.
Switching on for a longer time.
Switching on:
press the power switch
6
(fig. 1) and fix the position by pressing the
lock-on button
5
(fig. 1).
Switching off:
press and release the power switch
6
(fig. 1).
MIXING SPEED SELECTION
Set the necessary mixing speed by turning the adjusting wheel
7
(fig. 1). Set the mix-
ing speed prior to mixing or during the mixing operation. The optimum mixing speed
depends on the material to be mixed. With a little practice it is possible to determine
the best mixing rates. Higher mixing rates are recommended as this will result in bet-
ter motor ventilation and prevent overheating of the motor.
MIXING EXTENSION ATTACHMENT AND REPLACEMENT
Disconnect the mixer from the power supply before attaching or replacing
the mixing extension piece!
Other mixing extension pieces can be used as well as the external threads are
M14x2 and the diameter of mixing part does not exceed 140 mm (for mixer
EM1-950E-2) and 160 mm (for mixer EM2-1500E-2).
To attach the extension screw it completely into the mixer spindle. Then hold the spindle
using a 22 mm wrench and tighten the extension completely using a second wrench.
To remove the extension follow the above procedure in the reverse order.
OPERATION
There are two mixing speed ranges:
for mixer EM1-950E-2 —
I
(0-650 min
-1
) and
II
(0-1000 min
-1
)
for mixer EM2-1500E-2 —
I
(0-330 min
-1
) and
II
(0-500 min
-1
).
Use the speed selector
8
(Fig.1) to set the necessary speed range by pulling the
selector towards yourself and rotating it to the left or to the right at the same time.
Rotate the spindle and set the desired speed range (
I
or
II
) according to the marks
on the gear box housing. Then fix the position of the speed selector by pushing it
back into it’s position.
To ensure a long and trouble-free service life of the mixer use it for the mixing of
materials specified in the section «FUNCTION».
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the mixer from the power supply before cleaning or carrying
out any maintenance operations!
Proper care is necessary for a long trouble-free life of the mixer.
Store the tool in a dry and well ventilated place. Minimal storage temperature is +5
0
C.
