Bevel cutting
With the base tilted, you can make bevel cuts at a maximum angle of 45°. To set the required
angle:
•
Loosen the two screws at the bottom of the base plate with the included hex wrench.
Move the base plate slightly back so that it can move freely.
•
Use the scale to set required angle.
•
Slide the base plate to the desired position and then push the base plate forward so that
the lug locks between the teeth.
•
Tighten the screws.
Speed adjustment
Use the speed adjustment thumbwheel to set the required cutting speed (stroke rate).
Adjust the speed to the material of the workpiece.
Dust extraction
The set includes adapter which allows connection to the vacuum cleaner. Slide the adapter
maximally into the opening in the base plate underneath the power tool. Slide the dust
extraction function switch back.
WARNING.
Do not use dust extraction function when cutting metal. Metal filings may ignite
residues of wood dust.
Switching the power tool on and off
•
Pressing the ON/OFF (6) switch will activate the power tool.
•
Releasing the ON/OFF (6) switch will stop the power tool.
Lock-on switch for continuous operation
ON/OFF switch with lock for continuous operation allows uninterrupted operation without
the need to keep the switch pressed. It is especially useful when using the power tool for
an extended period of time.
To lock the ON/OFF switch press it and simultaneously slide the lock-on switch maximally
left or right. Then release the ON/OFF switch.
To release the lock, press and release the ON/OFF switch again.
Switching the laser guide on and off
Always ensure the laser beam is aimed at a sturdy workpiece without reflective surfaces.
i.e. wood or rough coated surfaces are acceptable. Bright shiny reflective sheet steel or the
like is not suitable for laser use as the reflective surface could direct the beam back at the
operator.
