2.3 Dangers when handling the REA ScanCheck 3n
The REA ScanCheck 3n verifier has been designed in accordance with the state of the art and with
recognised safety rules, and is appropriately tested before delivery. Nonetheless, hazards to life
and limb of the user or of third parties, or impairments to the REA ScanCheck 3n or other property,
can come into being when it is used - in particular if this does not take place correctly. The
restrictions described in Chapter 14.4 must be complied with.
The REA ScanCheck 3n
must be used only according to the intended use.
and operated only when it is in perfect condition in terms of safety and security.
Faults that impair safety must be eliminated immediately
(see Chapter 8.6 Intended use).
In the case of faults, the REA ScanCheck 3n must be immediately shut down and is only allowed to
be started up again after proper repair!
The following warning signs are attached beneath the laser outlet window:

Caution:
In normal operation, the REA ScanCheck 3n verifier should be operated only
while standing, with the controls pointing upwards.
Warning:
Don’t cover the power supply unit (PoE injector) so as not to overheat it
