Controlling a VCR
The DVD’s remote is programmed to control the basic functions
of a compatible RCA, ProScan, or GE VCR. The remote can also
be set up to control other brands. To program the remote, use
the code that correspond to your brand.
Program the Remote for a VCR
1. Turn on the VCR.
2. Point the DVD’s remote at the VCR.
3. Hold the VCR button and press three digits for your brand.
4. Release the buttons.
5. Press POWER on the remote. If the VCR turns off, setup
is complete.
6. Repeat steps 2 - 4 with three other buttons if the first ones
do not work.
Operate the VCR
After you have set up your remote to control your VCR,
test the VCR buttons to see which ones operate your VCR.
1. Point the remote at the VCR and press VCR.
2. If VCR does not turn on in step 1, press VCR and
then POWER.
3. Use the “VCR Function Buttons” described on the
previous page.
