ClearPlay™ Feature
This DVD Player supports ClearPlay filtering tools. ClearPlay is another Parental Control option
that enables you to play movies with a rating that you might not normally let your children watch
because the offensive content is automatically skipped during playback and offensive language is
automatically muted. Your DVD player already has approximately 100 ClearPlay Filters in it, and
the individual filters are ready to be used—you just have to Lock the DVD player.
How ClearPlay works
The staff at ClearPlay Inc. develops software filters for movies. For example, ClearPlay reviews an
R-rated movie to find the content that contributed to the R rating.They develop software that
marks the violent or explicit content contained in the movie and filters it out during playback.
Your DVD player comes with many ClearPlay Filters, but you can always add to the list by
downloading more filters—go to www.clearplay.com when your computer is connected to the
internet and follow the instructions. ClearPlay charges a fee for downloading additional filters.
How to See What Movie Filters are Available in Your DVD Player
To find out what ClearPlay filters are already loaded in your DVD player, follow these instructions:

Turn on your DVD player and tune your TV to the
correct Video Input Channel. If the DVD player’s
menu doesn’t appear, press STOP. If you still don’t see
the DVD player’s main menu, make sure your TV is
tuned to the correct Video Input Channel
(instructions are on page 9).
