
Data sources menu
This menu enables you to select the external sensors and devices that will provide data to the display.
Auto / manual selection
Each dialog enables you to view and select your preferred data source. selection of data source can be manual or set to automatic:
•
Auto
— the display will automatically select a device and attempt to resolve any data conflicts that may occur where there is more
than one source of data for that particular data source (for example, multiple GPS receivers).
•
Manual
— once the display has performed a search for connected devices you can manually select the preferred device
from the list.
Note:
Selecting the
Auto
option may result in the system choosing a source of data that you do not want to use.
Device selection
Menu item
Description
GPS
Enables you to search for any externally-connected GPS devices, and select the one you
want to use.
GPS Datum
In order for your GPS receiver and multifunction display to correlate accurately with your
paper charts, they must be using the same datum. This option enables you to choose the
data source for this datum.
Time and Date
Enables you to select the device you want to use for the time and date information used
by the display.
Heading
Enables you to select the device you want to use for heading data.
Depth
Enables you to select the device you want to use for depth data.
Speed
Enables you to select the device you want to use for speed data.
Wind
Enables you to select the device you want to use for wind data.
