3.
With the handle tang supported, use a
1/8-inch punch and a small hammer to
gently drive the roll pin (item 59) through
the upper tang and trigger (item 53). It is
not necessary to drive the roll pin (item
53) completely out of the lower tang, un-
less it is going to be replaced.
4.
Remove the trigger.
5.
Reverse the handle assembly (item 42)
so that the partly driven out roll pin (item
59) is now pointing upward.
6.
Insert trigger (item 53), making sure that
the curved lower tip of the trigger is
pointed away from the handle (item 54)
and the thrust washer (item 45) is to the
front of trigger.
7.
With a small hammer, gently drive the
roll pin (item 59) through the hole in the
trigger (item 53) and into the bottom
tang, stopping when the roll pin is about
3/32-inch from the top tang. With an 1/8-
inch punch and a small hammer, gently
drive the roll pin (item 59) in until it is
about 1/16-inch below the tang surface,
taking care not to strike the tang itself.
Protect the handle from scratches or
mars by using a cloth over a metal support
or vise teeth. Support the underside of the
handle in the area of the roll pin, leaving the
hole free.
