Wiring Information
The Tire Changer comes with a Power Cord that is connected inside the unit on one end and with
three exposed wires on the other end (called a ‘pigtail’). The three exposed wires need to be hard-
wired to the facility’s power system or connected to a 220 VAC Plug (which is then connected to a
power outlet).

WARNING:
All electrical work, such as hard-wiring the unit to the facility’s power system or
attaching a Plug to a Power Cord, must be done by a licensed, certified
Electrician
in accordance with all applicable local electrical codes. Damage to the
unit caused by improper electrical installation voids your warranty.
The Tire Changer does not come with a 220 VAC
Plug
; you must supply one.
The colors of the three exposed wires are Brown, Blue, and Green/Yellow, the European color code.
Important : To connect the three exposed wires to an appropriate Plug or to hard-wire them, have
your Electrician follow the electrical codes for the country in which you are using the
unit and any local electrical codes.
For example, if you are using the unit in the United States, the color codes on the wiring that comes
with the Tire Changer correspond to:

Brown : Live
• Blue : Live
• Green/Yellow : Ground
If you were using the unit in a European country, the color codes on the wiring that comes with the Tire
Changer correspond to:

Brown : Live
• Blue : Neutral
• Green/Yellow : Ground
Information about color code conventions in other regions and countries is available online. Make sure
your Electrician installs the Plug in accordance with all applicable local electrical codes.
