Operating and installation tips
Vehicle-specific Rainbow systems
are high-quality car hi-fi systems, which can be operated with any
commercially available amplifier. We recommend using a power amplifier with at least 30 watts for the
sensible utilization of an optimal sound reproduction in the vehicle. The excellent efficiency of Rainbow
speakers enables an enormous dynamic range, which is already fully achieved at a minimum output.
Coordinating with the vehicle as well as the use of selected components in the switches are trendsetting
design details of our systems.
Approaches to sound optimization are the lining of the woofer volume with insulating material and the
sound-damping of the door panels with damping mats on the inside of the door.
Note:
The high power speaker outputs of standard car radios are achieved with high power wattage. The
performance data is usually pure marketing figures. Our loudspeaker units are highly efficient and can
also be used directly with the Intelligence Line, also directly on the car radio with at least 2x12 watts
RMS. However, we generally recommend the use of an amplifier in order to take advantage of the full
dynamic range of your speakers.
