Installing The Optional Flange Wheels

The engine comes with blind wheel sets installed for smooth operation on R2 (64.8”
diameter) curve track. There is an option to install the flange wheel for a more realistic
appearance, however if the flange wheel is installed the engine may not run on R2 track
in all circumstances. For this reason we would recommend running on R3 track when
the flange wheels are installed.

Remove (7) gear box cover screws.

Remove blind wheel and carefully insert flange wheel in its place. Be sure to keep the
flat end of the bearing facing the top.

Reassemble the gear box.
