The HBS installation differs only in the antenna type: The HBS uses a sector antenna.
The installation steps are detailed in the following sections.

Preparing the ODU before Deployment
Each ODU should be pre-loaded with an IP address. This may be done prior to deployment in
the field, or on-site using a Laptop computer. The process is quite straight-forward and
described in
Chapter 4
.
Mounting the ODU
The ODU can be mounted on a pole or a wall. In both installations, the supplied mounting kit
is used to secure the ODU.
Note
A mast-sited ODU typically uses a pole attached to the mast.
To mount the ODU on a pole or a wall:
1. Ensure that the ODU is properly grounded.
2. Mount the ODU onto the pole or wall. Ensure that the unit is oriented so that the
cable connectors are at the bottom.
