In pointing modes, you may save peak adjustments as
bias angles
that will reload when the same target is tracked again in the future.
The general procedure is:
1.
Acquire a target using a
pointing mode
(section 4.6).
2.
Do not adjust bias angles while the controller is acquiring the targeted posi-
tion.
In the blue status bar, verify that the ACU reports:
Holding Target Position
–
next calculation in [hh:mm:ss]
3.
Select Home > Manual and peak to an optimal signal. Such ad-
justments will appear in th
is target’s
“Bias angles” fields
.
4.
When peaked, tap Apply to save the new bias angles for that
target, for use when it is acquired again later.
Tip
To use the
current
receive level as
relative
0dB
, tap the
“Receive level @ 0dB”
field and, in the popup
keypad, just tap OK
without entering a
value.
