Remove the screws (22) holding the power supply mounting plate to the weldment frame (5). Slide the
power supply to the right (as seen from the front) and lift the left edge of the mounting plate to clear
the frame.
e.
Lift the power supply from the frame and place on a workbench upside down next to the new power
supply.
f.
Remove the two cable clamps (26, 29) holding cable W2 from the bottom of the mounting plate and
attach clamps and cable to the corresponding mounting holes on the new power supply. Similarly,
transfer the two cable clamps holding cables W3 and W4 to the new power supply.
g.
Place the new power supply on the frame, tilting the power enclosure side down for clearance of the
frame.
h.
Position the new power supply on the frame. Align the holes in the mounting plate with the holes in
the frame and bolt the power supply into place.
i.
Reattach the remaining cables.
j.
Reinstall the diplexer per paragraph 6-5.1.7.

Bi-directional Repeater Assembly Removal/Replacement.
Remove/replace the bi-directional repeater assembly as follows:
a.
Disconnect the coaxial cables (30, 31, Figure 7-1), the power cable (32), and the grounding strap (34).
b.
Loosen the two machine screws holding the front clamp in place, using a #2 Phillips head screwdriver
and a 7/16 box end wrench.
c.
Raise the front of the bi-directional repeater assembly (1) and slide it forward.
d.
Replace the bi-directional repeater with a known good bi-directional repeater.

Diplexer Removal/Replacement.
Remove/replace the diplexer as follows:
a.
To remove the diplexer (33, Figure 7-1), disconnect the coaxial cables (23(W3), 30(W2), and 31(W4))
leading to the bi-directional repeater assembly (1) and the power supply (21).
b.
Remove the screws (35), washers (36), and shock mount components (24, 27, and 28) under the
diplexer holding the diplexer to the weldment frame (5). Detailed assembly of the four shock mounts
is shown in Figure 6-1.
