Biological Safety information
Handle biological material with care and in accordance with the required safety regulations.
Always wear safety glasses, gloves, and a lab coat. The user must take the necessary
precautions to ensure that the surrounding workplace is safe and that the instrument operators
are suitably trained and not exposed to hazardous levels of infections agents

Decontamination of Instrument
Decontamination
Cleaning and decontamination of the instrument is necessary as a safeguard
when the instrument and any accessories are to be transferred to the
manufacturer or certified maintenance body for repair, service or returns.
Surfaces of the Mic instrument, including the chamber and tube clamp, can be decontaminated
using a solution of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl). A solution containing 1 gL
-1
available chlorine
will be suitable for sanitation in a general lab environment; stronger solutions (5 gL
-1
) are
recommended when dealing with high risk situations.
