Figure 7 IS20 Data source setting
The first tab opens the ‘Data Source’ menu on the display. The IS20 provides flexible options for
data inputs, allowing the user to select one of the following four data sources from the dropdown
list, including NMEA 0183 4.8kbps, NMEA 0183 38.4kbps, NMEA 2000 or WiFi. For instance,
selecting NMEA 0183 38.4kbps configures the IS20 to utilize the NMEA 0183 input at a baud rate
of 38.4kbps, displaying the corresponding data.
The IS20 is compatible with NMEA 2000, enabling seamless communication with NMEA 2000
sensors and devices when connected to a NMEA 2000 backbone. This integration empowers the
display to present vital information such as speed, heading, position, environment, engine, and
water depth on the screen.
In addition to wired connections, the IS20 supports WiFi connectivity, allowing it to connect to and
receive marine navigation data from other WiFi-enabled devices. This wireless capability expands
the display's versatility and facilitates data integration from various sources.
