Replacing a Hard Drive Blank
To replace the hard drive blank, complete the following steps:
Note:
To avoid damaging the hard drive blank’s metal spring, follow the hard
drive blank installation sequence described in
Figure
4
if installing more
than one hard drive blank at a time.

Sequence

Insert the replacement hard drive blank into the empty drive bay.

Continue inserting the hard drive blank until the release button clicks into
place.

If you removed the front bezel, place it back on the chassis:
a
Hook the right end of the bezel onto the chassis of the top Scalar LTFS
Appliance.
b
Fit the free end of the bezel onto the chassis.
c
Secure the bezel with the key lock.
