Managing Permissions for NFS and CIFS Shares
Quantum recommends setting permissions directly on the Lattus A10
Access Node. The details are platform-specific and depend on how you
set up your shares.
Note:
There is currently no support for extended Windows ACLs.
To set permissions on the Lattus A10:
1
Log in to the Lattus A10 Access Node's CLI (see
on page 12 for instructions).
2
Use the
chmod
,
chown
and
chgrp
commands to modify your shares'
permissions directly on the Lattus A10 Access Node. See the
commands' man pages for detailed instructions.
Updating Your Centrify Configuration
If you're using Active Directory to manage access to CIFS shares on your
Lattus system, and you make updates to your Active Directory server's
configuration, you need to update your Lattus A10 Access Node's
Centrify configuration to ensure that users can still access the shares.
To update Centrify after updating the Active Directory server's
configuration, log in to the Lattus A10 Access Node's CLI (see
to the Lattus A10 Access Node CLI
on page 12 for instructions) run
/usr/share/centrifydc/bin/adbindproxy.pl
and accept all the
default responses.
