Autoconfiguration
The AN-X4-ABRIO-SCAN supports autoconfiguration, which automatically detects the network
baud rate and the racks on an attached remote I/O network. Autoconfiguration cannot detect block
transfer modules. You must add and configure them manually.
The controller with the Ethernet connection to the AN-X4-ABRIO-SCAN must not be in run mode
when you perform an autoconfiguration.
To autoconfigure, select
Configure/Autoconfigure
or use the Autoconfigure button on the toolbar.
The AN-X4-ABRIO-SCAN first detects the network baud rate, then sends messages to all possible
racks, builds a network configuration from the replies it receives, and displays the network
configuration.
Any configuration previously stored in the AN-X4-ABRIO-SCAN is overwritten by the data from the
autoconfiguration.
If the autoconfiguration does not find any racks, the remote I/O configuration on the AN-X is invalid.
