7. Fill the kettle up to the
MAX
marking with drinking water and allow it to boil (see the
"Use" chapter). Then pour this water away. Repeat this process twice.
The kettle is now ready for operation!

CAUTION!

Danger of scalding! Beware of steam escaping! Be careful when pouring out hot water.

Beware of hot device parts! Only touch the device by the handles which are provided for
this purpose!

ll water any higher than up to the
MAX
marking as otherwise water can spray
out of the pouring spout when it boils.

Always

ll the device at least up to the
MIN
marking so that the device does not run dry
during use.

Make sure that the switch is not blocked. The kettle does not switch off if the switch is
obstructed.
1. If you have not already done so, place the base station on a dry,
fl
at, solid and heat-resistant
surface and plug the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket.
2. Remove the kettle from the base station. Remove the lid and pour drinking water into the
kettle. Make sure that the amount of water is between the
MIN
and
MAX
marking. Too
little water means that the device will switch off too early; if the
MAX
marking is excee-
ded, water could spray out during boiling.
3. Close the lid and place the kettle on the base station.
4. Press down the On/Off switch of the kettle. The control lamp lights up and the device ins-
tantly starts the boiling process. You can cancel the boiling process at any time by pushing
up the On/Off switch.
5. The kettle switches off automatically when the boiling process is complete. The On/Off
switch
fl
ips up and the control lamp goes out.
6. Remove the kettle from the base station and pour the water carefully into an appropriate
vessel.
• Allow the device to cool down before you boil any more water.
• The kettle can be stored on the base station when it is not being used. However,
remove the mains plug from the mains socket when the device is not in use.
• If you accidentally operate the kettle without any water in it, the device switches
off automatically. In this case, allow the kettle to cool down before you pour in
cold water again.
