Before Initial Use
CAUTION!

Clean the device in the manner described in this chapter. There may still be production
residues on it.

rst using the device, please also note the instructions in the "Use" chapter.

Keep children away from the packaging material. There is a danger of suffocation as well
as other hazards!
1. Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items Supplied
and Device Overview" chapter) and transport damage. If you
fi
nd any damage to the com-
ponents, do not use them (!), but contact our customer service department.
2. Remove any
fi
lms or stickers that may be present from the device.
3. Clean the kettle and the lid with a damp, soft cloth. If you need to, you can use a small
amount of mild detergent and then rinse the two parts with clear, hot water. Dry them
with a soft cloth.
4. On the bottom of the base station you can wind up or unwind the mains cable to the length
you require.
5. Place the base station on a dry, heat-resistant,

ammable objects. Make sure that the device is not accessible to children.
6. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed and earthed 220 – 240 V mains socket with
earthing contacts.
