ROTALIGN 01.2000
The ROTALIGN computer
Auxiliary battery
The ROTALIGN computer also contains a 9 V AUXILIARY battery
which can run the computer when the main power supply is depleted
or being changed. It will run ROTALIGN for between 20-40 minutes
which should be ample time to change the main battery or connect
the charger. Do not make a habit of relying on this battery to operate
the computer for longer than absolutely necessary!
Replace the auxiliary battery as soon as there is any doubt about its
remaining strength, or at least once a year. PRÜFTECHNIK recom-
mends auxiliary battery replacement whenever the computer has
used it under full load, i.e. after the "MAIN" LED has lit.
When the auxiliary battery is low, the red "AUX" LED glows:

The auxiliary battery should be replaced as shown below. Switch off
the computer before replacement. Avoid using a rechargeable NiCad
here due to its rapid voltage drop at the end of battery life.
