RS232 Word Length: Data Bits, Stop Bits, and Parity
Data Bits You can choose to transfer 7,8-bit data bits, and you must set the
terminal to the same data bit as the barcode scanner to communicateproperly.
Default = 8.
Stop Bits sets the stop bits at 1 or 2. Default = 1.
Parity provides a means of checking character bit patterns forvalidity.
Default = None.
