Cloud Chamber LED fault  

The unit has detected that insufficient light is being received at the photodiode.  

 

User Action 
Contact a Protec operative or a Protec distributor.

Water fill fault 

The unit has detected that the water fill value level reading out of range. 

 

User Action 
Contact a Protec operative or a Protec distributor. 

 

6.9 

Sample 

The unit has detected that the cloud chamber sample route is blocked. This means that the unit is not 
receiving a sample.

Contact a Protec operative or a Protec distributor. 

 

6.10  Purge 

The unit has detected that the purge path is blocked. This means that the unit is not purging correctly.

Contact a Protec operative or a Protec distributor. 

 

6.11  High Optical Background 

The optical analogue value has increased outside the operation limitation range. The Scatter Chamber 
Detector (SCD) is a calibrated device therefore disassembling the unit will void the calibration.

6.12  Corrupt Settings 

Internal settings are outside the expected values.

6.13  Incomplete Manufacture 

The manufacturing data has not been fully entered and saved.

6.14  Low supply   

The unit has detected that the incoming DC power to the unit is too low (less than approx. 19V

).
