20. Slide an M10 flat washer (#11) onto an M10x45 hex bolt (#9)
and insert through each bolt hole in the rear bracket flange.
Slide an M10 flat washer (#11), M10 lock washer (#12) and
M10 nut (#13) on each protruding bolt. Tighten the nut to
secure the bracket.
UPPER ARM ASSEMBLY
The nuts securing the bolts are on the rear of the assembled
arms. Position the components below so the bolts are arranged
correctly. Do not fully tighten the nuts until assembly is
complete.
1. Place the horizontal cross arm (#7) on its side.
2. Insert the upright (#3) into the end of the horizontal cross
arm. Align the end bolt holes in each.
3. Insert an M8x60 button head bolt (#14) through the bolt
holes. Secure with an M8 flat washer (#17) and an M8 lock
nut (#16).
4. Attach the vertical support arm (#4) to the upright (#3).
Slide the flanges over the upright bolt holes near the
center. The support arm’s open side faces the horizontal
cross arm.
5. Insert an M8x60 button head bolt (#14) through the bolt
holes. Secure with an M8 flat washer (#17) and an M8 lock
nut (#16).
6. Attach the vertical support arm to the horizontal cross arm.
6.1 Position the vertical support arm flanges over the
horizontal cross arm flanges and align the bolt holes.
6.2 Hold a spacer (#19) between the flanges and insert an
M8x65 bolt (#15) through the bolt holes and spacer.
Secure with an M8 flat washer and M8 lock nut.
6.3 Install the ladder stop (#5) on the rear rack as part of
step 6b. Place the ladder stop in front of the flanges
before inserting the bolt. Complete step 6b.
