When the saw is operating
WARNING:
Do not allow yourself to become negligent through force of habit (because of frequent use of
your saw). Never forget that a split second of inattention is enough to cause serious injury.
1. Before making the cut, let the saw run for a time. If your saw makes unusual noises or vibrates
excessively, stop it immediately. Turn the saw off Unplug it. Do not restart it until the problem has been
located and been remedied.
2. Never hold on to the blank. You should never hold on to it, lock it, touch it or use the longitudinal stops for
it. It must be free to move sideways. If it is held it may get jammed against the blade and be thrown out
violently.
3. Avoid any awkward positioning of the hands risking getting them caught up in the blade in case of a
sudden slip.
4. Let the blade reach its maximum speed before making the cut.
5. Move the saw forwards into the part at a speed that is exactly enough to allow the blade to cut without
getting bogged down or stuck.
6. Before freeing a part that is jammed, release the trigger and unplug the saw. Wait until all the moving
parts are stationary.
7. After having completed the cut, hold the cutting head in the low position, release the trigger and wait for
all the moving parts to come to a standstill before moving your hands.
