RAISING/LOWERING THE ELEVATING
LEGREST ASSEMBLY
(WC4L1616DE, WC4L1816DE, WC4L2016DE)
1. To raise the elevating legrest, the assistant
or user should grab hold of the support
tube and raise elevating legrest until desired
height is obtained.
2. To lower, support user leg with one hand.
Push release lever downward with one hand.
Gently, lower user leg down and rest against
the legrest (Fig. E).
ADJUSTING HEIGHT OF ARMS
To adjust height on armrest, simply pull the release knob toward
the back of the chair while pulling the armrest upward. Adjust
armrest to desired height, lining up the adjustment knob into
the corresponding hole. Ensure the adjustment knob returns
completely back to a fully locked position.
RAISING/LOWERING THE FLIP-BACK ARMS
1. Unlock the flip-back arms by pushing the
armrest release towards the front of the
wheelchair (Fig. F).
2. Pull the front of the flip-back arm straight up
and out of the arm socket and towards the
rear of the wheelchair (Fig. F).
3. To lower and lock the flip-back arm, push
the armrest towards the front of the wheelchair and then
downward into the arm socket.
4. Ensure the armrest release lever is in the locked position
before use. An audible click will be heard.
QUICK RELEASE REAR WHEELS
Easily change rear wheels to hemi position or completely
remove wheels to reduce chair weight for easy loading in car.
Assure the quick release axles for the rear wheels are in the
locked position before each use. The axles are locked when the
quick release button is fully protruding and the ball bearings on
the other end of the axle are fully exposed. Always check that
the axle is locked by pulling gently on the wheel in an outward
direction.
NOTE:
A quick release axle that is not fully locked can result in
the wheel coming off during use and potentially causing injury
to the user.
