TILTING THE TABLE
The user may change the table (E) angle up to 45º to the left.
1. Loosen the table tilt locking knob (Fig. 4-2).
2. Push the table (E) down or lift it up while watching the tilt indicator
(Fig. 4-1). Stop once the indicator is at the correct angle on the scale.
2.1 The tilt scale is not reliable for precision cuts. Use precision
tools such as an inclinometer or a protractor and sliding bevel
to set the tilt angle.
3. Tighten the locking knob to secure the table.
4. Cut a test piece and check the angle and adjust the table if needed.
BLADE GUARD AND HOLD-DOWN SHOE
1. Loosen the knob (Fig. 6-1) for the hold-
down shoe’s rod.
2. Adjust the height so the shoe is a maximum
of 1/16 in. above the workpiece.
3. Tighten the knob to secure the rod.
ANGLE THE HOLD-DOWN SHOE
The shoe angle must match the table angle to
control the material during the cut. When you
change the table angle, also change the shoe angle.
1. Loosen the screw connecting the hold-down shoe to the rod until
the shoe moves freely.
2. Loosen the knob (Fig. 6-1) for the hold-down shoe rod.
3. Lower the rod until the hold-down shoe sits flush on the table,
adjusting it manual if needed.
4. Tighten the hold-down shoe’s screw, then raise the rod until the
shoe is a maximum 1/16 in. above the workpiece. Tighten the
knob to secure the rod in place.
FOOT PEDAL
1. Place the foot pedal (K) down in a spot that is convenient, but will
not be accidental trod on.
2. Test the placement by stepping on the pedal and make sure it is
comfortable and you will not lose your balance.
