3. Remove the plastic cap from the open end of the grease cartridge
and fully insert it into the empty barrel. Make sure the rim of the
cartridge is seated on the rim of the barrel.
4. Remove the metal pull tab seal from the grease cartridge.
5. Screw the grease gun head onto the barrel leaving 2-3 turns before
the head is fully tight.
6. Prime the grease gun by following the steps in the section
Priming
the Grease Gun
below.
7. Once all air bubbles are removed, fully tighten the grease gun head
onto the barrel.
8. Connect the grease gun extension and coupler onto the grease
gun outlet using a thread sealant such as PTFE tape, to make a
seal-proof connection. (DO NOT over tighten as this may fracture
the outlet.)
SUCTION LOADING
1. Unscrew the grease gun head (F) from the barrel counter-
clockwise.
2. Insert the barrel’s open end about 2 in. (50 mm) deep into the
grease bucket.
3. Slowly pull back the plunger rod handle (H) to draw grease into the
empty barrel. Lock the plunger rod with the end cap.
4. Once the barrel is full, shake it to allow the grease to settle. If
additional space is created in the barrel, add more grease to fill it
completely.
5. Screw the grease gun head onto the barrel stopping 2-3 turns before
the head is fully tight.
6. Prime the grease gun by following the steps in the section
Priming
the Grease Gun
below.
7. Once all air bubbles are removed, fully tighten the grease gun head
onto the barrel.
8. Connect the grease gun extension and coupler onto the grease
gun outlet using a thread sealant such as PTFE tape, to make a
