OPERATION
BEFORE WELDING
1.
Ensure that the internal and
external protective films are
removed from the lenses.
2. Check that the batteries have
sufficient power to operate the
helmet. The filter cartridge can
last for 5,000 working hours
powered by the lithium batteries
and solar cells. It has a 15 to 20
minutes auto off function.
2.1 When the battery power is
low, the Low Battery LED
indicator will light up. The
filter cartridge lens may not
work correctly. Replace the
batteries (see Maintenance
– Battery Replacement).
3. Check that the arc sensors are
clean and not blocked by dust
or debris.
4. Check for head band tightness
before each use.
SHADE NUMBER
SELECTION
Shading Number can be manually
set from Shade Number 9 to 13 with
the control knob (#B5). Adjust the
welding helmet’s Shade Number to
match the type of welding. Consult
the Welding Shade Guide to
determine the minimum shade for
the amperage and welding method
being employed.
