Doors and Hatches
Head Door
The poly head door is equipped with a white twist latch. To open the door, just twist the latch and pull the
door open. To close the door, slide the door back into the track of the door frame and push the door
closed until it snaps in place. The latch will engage itself.
The door should never remain open when you are underway or when conditions might cause a
passenger to lose their balance and accidentally fall through the doorway.
The locking latch comes with a set of two numbered keys. We recommend that you make note of the key
number and keep it in a safe place. In the event that you need to replace the keys, this will allow you to
replace just the keys and not the entire lock assembly.
See the Service and Care section of this manual for cleaning recommendations.
Transom Door
The poly transom door is located on the starboard aft corner of the boat. The sliding bolt style latch
secures the door in the closed position. To open the door, slide the latch starboard (to the left when
standing in the cockpit). The transom door should always remain closed while underway. See the
Service and Care section of this manual for cleaning recommendations.
Tackle Box
The tackle box is installed on the starboard freeboard, next to the helm seat. It contains 2 trays for
storing your small tackle.
Storage
Your boat has storage areas for your tackle and/or gear:
•
Casting deck storage box
•
Insulated fish box on the casting deck
•
Storage box in the floor
•
Storage below the forward console seat
•
Shelf on the forward wall of the head
•
Storage net on the aft wall of the head
•
Tackle box
Hatches and Latches
Fiberglass Deck Hatches - The fiberglass deck hatches are strong, durable and can easily withstand the
weight of passengers and gear; just like the rest of the deck surfaces.
The twist latches that are installed on the fiberglass deck hatches are made of stainless steel. Just lift the
handle of the latch from the recessed area of the hatch, twist it and lift the hatch open. There is a small
red dot on one side of the latch. If the red dot is visible when the hatch is closed, that means that even
though the hatch may be closed, the latch is not secure. Make sure that all hatches are closed and
secured before you get underway. Lift the handle of the latch, turn it 180
o
so that the latch catches and
return the handle to the recessed area of the hatch. Once the hatch is secure, the red dot will no longer
be visible.
In addition to the fiberglass deck hatches, there are additional round hatches on the boat that provide
access to many components. The following photo identifies the locations of the components that can be
accessed via the hatches.
