Turn on the console.

To turn on the console, press the On/Reset button

or begin pedalling. Note: See the drawing on page

11 to identify the On/Reset button.

Select the manual mode.

Each time the

console is

turned on, the

manual mode

will be selected.

If a program has

been selected, select the manual mode by press-

ing the Program (PGM) button repeatedly until “0”

appears in the upper section of the display.

Begin pedalling and change the resistance of

the pedals as desired.

As you pedal, change the resistance of the ped-

als by pressing the Resi and – buttons

below the display. There are ten resistance lev-

els. Note: After the buttons are pressed, it will

take a few seconds for the resistance to reach the

selected setting.

Adjust the angle of the ramp as desired.

As you pedal, change the angle of the ramp by

pressing the Ramp + and – buttons. Note: After

the buttons are pressed, it will take a moment for

the ramp to reach the selected angle.

Monitor your progress with the display.

The upper sec-

tion of the dis-

play will show

the distance

(total revolu-

tions) you have

pedalled and the approximate number of calories

you have burned. The display will change from

one number to the other every few seconds. If

you use the handgrip pulse sensor, the display

will also show your heart rate (see step 6 on

page 13).

The centre of

the display will

show the elapsed

time. Note: When

a preset program

or pulse program

1 is selected, the display will show the time

remaining in the program instead of the elapsed

time.

The lower sec-

tion of the dis-

play will show

your pedalling

pace (in revolu-

tions per minute

[RPM]) and the resistance level. The display will

change from one number to the other every few

seconds.

To reset the displays, press the On/Reset button.

Note: The con-

change the back-

light mode, first

hold down the Program (PGM) button for about six

seconds. The centre of the display will show which

backlight mode is selected. Press the Resistance

– button to change the backlight mode if desired.

The “On” mode keeps the backlight on while the

console is on. The “Off” mode turns the backlight

off. The “Auto” mode keeps the backlight on only

while you are exercising. When the desired back-
