REPO Installation
The REPO switch is a customer-supplied switch that can disconnect UPS
output voltage from your protected equipment. If you are using a REPO
switch, you need a junction box, external wiring, and a switch with the
following specifications:
:
The switch should be a wall-mounted, momentary-contact, normally
open, pushbutton switch.
:
Minimum ratings of 240 Vac and 35 mA.
:
Wire should be 18 AWG (0.75 mm
2
) minimum.

:
The black and white REPO wires are at high-voltage potential (240V). Refer to your
local electrical code for proper installation of the high-voltage REPO wires.
:
To ensure the UPS stops supplying power to the load during any mode of
operation, the input power must be disconnected from the UPS when the
emergency power-off function is activated.
The optional three-wire REPO cord (see Figure 11) can be ordered from
the manufacturer. The green wire is a safety ground for the REPO
conduit. The REPO function activates when the black and white wires of
the optional emergency power-off cord are shorted together.
1.
Ground the green REPO wire to the junction box.
2.
Connect the REPO cord to the conduit inside a junction box by
twisting the ends of exposed wire together with the wire nuts
(see Figure 11). Twist the wires until tight.
3.
Pivot the REPO receptacle guard out of the way, plug the REPO
plug/receptacle PPU connector into the REPO receptacle on the
PPU rear panel and twist the connector in place (see Figure 9
on page 36).
