Starting Operation
1. Charge the battery for 10-15 minutes according to steps 1 to 6 in the charging operation section above.
2. Turn power switch to “start” position and turn charge/start switch to “start” position and then start the
automobile immediately.
2. When the power switch is set to the “start” position the charger is able to operate for a brief period in an
over-current mode of operation.
Warning:
• Do not crank engine for more than 5 secs
• Wait approximately 2 mins between starting attempts
• Do not attempt to start more than 3 times. If 3 attempts fail, the vehicle’s battery should be recharged fully.

2. This battery charger is only designed to charge 6/12v lead-acid batteries. Do not attempt to charge batteries
of other types, such as sealed lead acid, gel batteries or NI-CAD
3. For engine start, the maximum engine cranking time is 5sec with a minimum off time of 2 min. Do not
attempt engine starting more than 3 times.
4. The battery charger / engine booster is not weather proof. Care and common sense must be exercised if
using outdoors. Do not expose to moisture.
5. Always switch off power before connecting or disconnecting the battery charger & engine starter.
6. Never smoke, cause a spark or charge near an open flame. Never allow conductive materials to short circuit
the charger or battery terminals.
7. Always use in a well-ventilated space.
8. This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision and should
always be used responsibly and stored in an appropriate place to prevent misuse.
9. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a service agent or a suitably qualified person in order
to avoid a hazard.
