MOUNT THE BIKE RACK
NOTICE! Do not use if the bike rack arms point downward. The arm of the bike
rack must be level or angled slightly upward to correctly secure bikes.
1. Clean the rack protective pads and the mounting area for the rack.
2. Pop the trunk or hatch so there is a slight gap between the door and car frame.
3. Position the bike rack so it is centered and the support arms are slightly upward.
4. Attach the top hooks to the top of the trunk door and slightly tighten the upper
straps. Do not attach the hooks to glass or plastic.
5. Attach the inner bottom hooks to the bottom of the trunk door. The lower
straps can also be attached to bumper’s edge if it’s not plastic. Slightly
tighten the straps.
6. Attach the outer bottom hooks to the side of the trunk door. Close the
trunk slowly.
7. Tighten top straps and ensure that angle of the
support arms are slightly upward. Finish tightening
the bottom/side straps.
8. Check security of bike rack and straps. It should not
shift. Retighten the straps again if it does. Also
check if there you can attach the hooks to a more
secure location.
OPERATION
MOUNTING THE BIKE(S) ON THE RACK
NOTICE! Place the bike so the pedals do not touch the vehicle and the tires
are exposed to the vehicle’s exhaust pipe. This will prevent damage to the
vehicle and bike.
The bike rack supports the bicycle by the crossbar. Some mountain bikes and
women’s bikes have a low crossbar and may not sit correctly on the arms. A
cross-bar adapter (not included) may be required to carry these bikes.
1. Always load the bike onto the arm cradles closest to the vehicle first.
2. Position the bike to evenly distribute the weight across the two cradles.
The bike will rest against the bottom of the bike rack.
