PRESSURE WASHER STORAGE
1. Disconnect the spray gun from the high pressure hose after the pressure
washer is cool and the water pressure is released.
2. Drain all water from the high pressure hose, coil it and store it.
3. Drain all water from the spray gun and spray wand by holding the spray gun in
the vertical position with nozzle pointed downward. Squeeze trigger to remove
fluids. Store in spray gun/hose holder.
4. Store siphon hose, high pressure hose and spray wand so they are protected
from damage.
PROTECTING INTERNAL SEALS
The internal seals require additional preparation if the pressure washer is stored for
more than 30 days or freezing temperatures are expected.
1. Be sure the machine is OFF, water supply is disconnected and pressure has
been relieved.
2. Obtain a one-gallon container or non-toxic Recreational Vehicle (RV)
antifreeze.
NOTICE! Only RV antifreeze is suitable. Other types of antifreeze are
corrosive and can damage the pressure pump.
3. Install a suction hose from the pump inlet (garden hose fittings) into the
antifreeze. Following operation instructions, start the engine and squeeze
trigger on spray gun allowing the pump to draw antifreeze through the entire
system. Once antifreeze appears at the end of wand, turn the engine off.
4. Squeeze gun trigger to relieve pressure.
5. Remove the garden hose from the water inlet of the pressure pump and seal
the pump’s inlet and outlet.
6. Wait for engine to cool, then remove the high pressure hose, wand gun
and store in a secure place with owner’s manual.
7. See engine owner’s manual for proper engine storage.
8. When preparing to operate the pressure washer again, reassemble the
hose, spray gun and wand. Reconnect the pressure washer to a water
supply, but do not start the engine. Squeeze the trigger and allow water to
