14. If connecting the pressure washer to a portable water system, ensure the
water system is protected against backflow.
15. Use only hose and high pressure accessories rated for pressure higher
than your pressure washer's PSI.
16. Do not allow the pump to run for more than 3 minutes without using the
wand to relieve pressure. The build up of excess heat and pressure can
damage the pump.
SPRAYING PRECAUTIONS
DANGER! The pressure washer produces fluid pressures and velocities
strong enough to penetrate human and animal flesh that will result in
serious injury or amputation with some nozzles. NEVER aim the pressure
washer spray gun in the direction of people, animals or plants, even if the
power and water supply are turned off. High velocity fluid spray can cause
objects to break, propelling particles at high speeds.
WARNING! NEVER do the following while the pressure washer is in operation
or under pressure: place a body part in front of the nozzle, grasp the
hose/fittings, replace the wand or nozzle. Pressurized water could escape
and inflict an injury or cause an amputation.
1. Keep operating area clear of all persons, animals and obstacles.
2. DO NOT spray flammable or toxic liquids.
3. DO NOT spray near a power source.
4. NEVER use a spray gun which does not have a trigger lock or trigger guard in
place and in working order.
5. DO NOT lock the spray gun in the open position.
6. Be careful when squeezing the trigger, as recoil from the spray gun can cause
the operator to fall.
7. Always be certain the spray gun, nozzles and accessories are correctly attached.
8. To relieve system pressure, shut off the engine, turn off the water supply and
pull the spray gun trigger until the water stops flowing.
9. Always aim the spray gun in safe direction and squeeze trigger to release high
pressure when you stop the engine.
10. Keep a high pressure hose connected to the pump and spray gun while the
system is pressurized.
