UNPACKING
1. Carefully remove the cargo carrier from the package.
a. Retain packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily installed the
cargo carrier.
2. Make sure that all items in the parts list are included.
3. Inspect the parts carefully to make sure the cargo carrier was not damaged while shipping.
ASSEMBLY
NOTE:
Your cargo carrier will require some light assembly prior to use. It is important that you read the
entire manual to become familiar with the product before you assemble and use the cargo carrier. Before
assembling and operating the cargo carrier be sure that you have all parts described in the parts list and
parts breakdown at the end of the manual.
1. Install four bolts (8) through the left frame (2), the tube assembly (1), and the right frame (3).
Install the flat washers (9), the spring washers (10), and the nuts (11) on the bolts.
NOTE:
Don’t tighten the nuts and bolts until the cross brace (4) installation is finished.
2. Place the cross brace (4) onto the frames. Install two bolts (5) through the flat washers (6), the
cross brace (4) and frames (2 & 3). Install the flat washers (6) and nuts (7) on the bolts (5).
Tighten the nuts and bolts.
OPERATION
CAUTION! Do not exceed the 500 lb. maximum weight capacity of the cargo carrier.
1. With assistance, lift the cargo carrier and place the steel tube (1) into the hitch receiver
mounted on your vehicle.
2. Line up the hole in the steel tube (3) with the holes in your hitch. With the holes lined up, slide a
hitch pin through the hole and secure with a cotter pin.
3. Slide the cargo across the frame to find the center of gravity, where the cargo will rest without
rocking easily.
4. The cargo needs to be secured with straps or another practical method of securing the cargo to
prevent swaying.
CAUTION! Be aware of dynamic loading. Sudden load movement may briefly exceed the load capacity
causing product failure.
NOTE:
Always use reflectors. Make certain to use the appropriate red flags when moving a load.

local laws.
